7 Oct. – Royal Awards for Painting presented by H.M. the Queen

On Friday October 7, Her Majesty the Queen presented the Royal Awards for Painting 2011 at the Royal Palace Amsterdam. Four young artists, Marie Civikov, Omar Koubâa, Katja Mater and Navid Nuur, received their prize, a sum of 6500 euros. After the ceremony the Queen opened the exhibition. The prize-winning paintings along with the work by other contenders are subsequently displayed in the galleries of the Citizens’ Hall in the Royal Palace.

The exhibition of the Royal Awards for Painting 2011 can be visited from October 8 to October 30 at the Royal Palace Amsterdam (closed Mondays).
