At the invitation of His Majesty the King, the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, will pay a state visit to the Netherlands on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 December. He will be accompanied by his wife, Suzanne Innes-Stubb.
Finland and the Netherlands work closely together within international organisations such as the European Union, the United Nations and, since Finland’s accession in 2023, NATO. Both countries are committed to building resilient societies and economies, and to advancing the energy transition.
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima officially welcomed President Macri and his wife on Dam Square in Amsterdam. After the inspection of the guard of honour, a reception took place in the Royal Palace in Amsterdam with Dutch authorities and Argentinian dignitaries taking part in the visit. After the reception President Macri laid a wreath at the National Monument on Dam Square.
